Background

Hello and welcome to Advance Therapy. My name is Bruce Forsyth, founder and owner of Advance Therapy, located in Bryan, Texas. Advance Therapy first opened its doors in 1999 with little more than a desire to find a home and create a successful physical therapy practice. Since then we have experienced uncommon growth as a result of consistent physician support and patient satisfaction. So great has been our growth that we recently completed and opened a state of the art 9,000 square-foot Aquatic and Wellness Center. This center will facilitate patient and physician demand as well as opening new avenues to more completely satisfy the needs of those who enter our doors.

A graduate of the University of Utah, class of 1987, I began my therapy career in Medford, Oregon.  For two years I worked at Medford Sports Injury and Therapy Center, working with a wide cross section of orthopedic injuries.  While in Medford I was given primary responsibility for those with back and neck pain. From 1989 until 1997, I managed and directed the care of patients at San Luis Sports Therapy Center.  Treating a wide variety of orthopedic conditions in beautiful San Luis Obispo, I was also blessed to work with members of the United States Olympic track and field team training for the Atlanta Games.

With the cost of living spiraling upward and increasingly complicated healthcare issues, my family and I decided to move, finding refuge in Abilene, Texas.  For two years I directed physical therapy services at West Texas Rehabilitation.  Looking for an opportunity to reenter the private practice arena we performed a thorough search of Texas cities.  After much thought and prayer we decided on Bryan/College Station and have never looked back.

Philosophy

Advance Therapy's mission is to care for those suffering with pain and dysfunction preventing the fulfillment of their goals.  In short we are here to help you on your road to improved wellness.  To this end we employ therapist skill in helping those in our care regain lost mobility and strength while resolving issues of pain.  Preventative care is also our hallmark and is the driving force behind the construction of our new Aquatic and Wellness Center.  We envision Advance Therapy as a community asset for those requiring skilled care in the clinical setting while assisting those seeking guidance for greater health and wellness.  In other words, Advance Therapy is here to serve you throughout the health continuum.
