Meet Our Physical Therapists

Bruce L. Forsyth, PT
Founder and Owner of Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center

Bruce is the founder and President of Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center. He was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, California. After graduating from high school, he swam for Brigham Young University followed by a two-year mission to Denmark. Bruce received his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 1987. He interned at the University of Utah athletics department and Cottonwood Back Institute. Following his graduation, Bruce worked in Medford, Oregon at the Sports Injury & Therapy Center. He returned home to California in 1989 to work with his father, also a PT at San Luis Sports Therapy. In 1997, Bruce and his family moved to Abilene, Texas. Bruce served as Director of Physical Therapy at the West Texas Rehab Center. In 1999, Bruce moved to College Station, Texas to establish his private practice called Advance Therapy. In an effort to fully serve the community, Bruce expanded his practice to include aquatic therapy and a wellness center in July of 2004. Bruce derives most of his strength from his wife, Diane, and their 5 children.

Dana Burch, PTA
Clinical Director

Dana began her career in Sports Medicine at Angelina College in Lufkin Texas where she was a student athletic trainer for the basketball and baseball teams. She then transferred to the University of Houston as a trainer for the Cougar football team. In 2005, Dana received her PTA degree in Houston at the Coleman Health Science Center. She then moved to College Station and worked as a PTA for two years at Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center. Sports made her return to the Houston area in 2007 where she received most of her high-level sports rehabilitation experience. There she gained experience working with NFL, MLB, MLS, U.S. Olympic Taekwondo team, and college athletes. In 2009, Dana joined Elite Orthopedics Sports Medicine in Pearland, Texas where she created and delivered performance training programs for junior high, high school, college, semi-pro and pro players around the Houston area. In 2012, Dana returned to College Station and continues to practice at Advance Therapy.

Taylor Sparks, PT, DPT

Taylor is a Louisiana native who earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport. She then attended physical therapy school at LSUHSC New Orleans where she graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in May 2016. Shortly after graduation, Taylor moved to College Station and attained her Physical Therapy license in Texas. She started at Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center in September 2016. Taylor has clinical experiences in acute care, neurological rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedic settings. She has a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and has completed research on new physical therapy interventions for patients with Parkinson’s Disease.

Matt Ralston, PTA

Matt began his career in the physical therapy field working at Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center in 2010 as a technician. Matt completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Motor Behavior and graduated in 2012 with his Bachelor of Science. After being accepted into the Blinn PTA program, Matt followed his passion of therapy while completing clinical rotations at St. Joseph's and The Med Center in the BCS area. Matt earned his PTA degree from Blinn College in 2015, and has been working as a therapist at Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center since June of 2015.

Catharine Rodriguez, PTA

Catharine attended Victoria College where she earned her PTA degree in 2013. She started her career at Cuero Community Hospital, working for Gulf Coast rehabilitation. At this facility, she gained knowledge and experience with outpatient, inpatient, wound care, and home health. She moved to College Station and started at Advance Therapy Aquatic & Wellness Center in May 2016.
